Marbella Golf & Country Club

Marbella Golf & Country Club is a Par 72 measuring 5953m, and is located in Marbella, 40 minutes from Malaga Airport. This Robert Trent Jones designed golf course provides a testing and enjoyable round as it meanders through olive groves and hills, with the Mediterranean backdrop. The course features undulating fairways, several lakes and an abundance of well placed bunkers, so it will give even the low handicappers a challenge to remember. The 9th hole in particular, featuring several lakes and bunkers, is guaranteed to put even the most skillful golfer to the test.

El Chaparral

El Chaparral is a Par 72 measuring 5649m. It is located between Fuengirola and Marbella and since it re-opened it has become one of the most attractive golf clubs on the Costa del Sol. It has 6 par 3s, 6 par 4s and 6 par 5s and the layout will offer a challenge to any level of golfer. Every hole is different and you will love the scenery around the course, it is tree lined and climbs its way through the hills and back down into the valleys demanding the use of almost all the clubs in the bag. The quality of the greens is largely due to the expert care of agronomist Manuel Pantoja, who has not only redesigned a number of the holes but is also responsible for their constant upkeep.

Cabopino

Cabopino Golf Club is a Par 71 measuring 5170m. It is perched above the delightful Costa Del Sol shoreline, and situated just off the coast road between Marbella and Fuengirola on the Costa del Sol. It boasts wonderful views of the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea. Although it is a fairly short course, it is still a good challenge of golf. The driver is only needed on a few holes, but the second shot to the green is the important one here. The par 4 third hole is an interesting one, it is only 288m, but the tee is on the top of the mountain with the green way down in the distance, the big hitters can reach but choosing the right club may be difficult. Some of the fairways are a bit tight and there are a lot of blind/dogleg holes, but this is a course that everyone seems to enjoy.

Rio Real

Rio Real is a Par 72 measuring 6166m, and it is located in Marbella. Designed by Javier Arana, it is situated on the banks of the Real River, which crosses the course several times. Set in a beautiful valley between the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains, this course features tight pine and palm tree lined fairways and well bunkered, slightly elevated greens. The Par 4 4th is a spectacular hole, with its green being right on the coast. This is a challenging course, but because it is fairly flat it can be easily walked.

La Quinta

San Pedro is the original nine hole course at La Quinta and forms part of the toughest course make-up. It is an open course with wide fairways, but finding the correct position off the tee is crucial. The Ronda, named after a beautiful local village is a great nine hole course with narrow undulating fairways and very fast difficult greens. With many blind shots to be negotiated, this is a test of precision and accuracy. The most demanding hole is the long 6th, with requires three good strikes to find the green. The Guadaiza is the newest nine hole course at La Quinta. Set against the backdrop of the awe-inspiring Sierra Blanca mountain range, it enjoys many changes of levels and numerous dog legs that make it just as exciting as the other two courses. It is the longest of the three loops and demands long, accurate drives.

Santa Maria

Santa Maria is a Par 70 measuring 5558m and it is located in Malaga. This beautiful course has many elevated views from which you can enjoy the stunning scenery and the Mediterranean Sea. It was originally a 9 hole course designed by Antonio Garcia Garrido, but it was extended to 18 by the club’s technical team. The course is set in a picturesque pine and oak forest and features many water hazards and well bunkered greens. This will present a challenge to golfers of all levels, but you will be rewarded by some great views.

El Paraiso

El Paraiso is a Par 71 championship course measuring 5912m, it is located in a valley between the Mediterranean Sea and the foothills of the Sierra Bermaja Mountains. Designed by Gary Player the course features lush fairways lined with palms, jacaranda and oleander, and many lakes and streams.

The signature hole is the Par 5 6th, which has a dogleg, water to the right of the fairway and finishes with a two tiered green. Both the 9th and the 18th provide stern tests if you want to finish with a par.
