The Tivoli Lagos is located in the centre of Lagos, 1 hour west of Faro airport. Palmares is a Par 72 measuring 5961m and is located 5km from the centre of the historic city of Lagos in the Western Algarve. The new 27 hole course opened in 2010 and features three nine hole loops, “Alvor – Trees” takes you through mature pine trees and features many hill climbs, “Lagos – Lakes” which is parkland with lakes and “Praia -Beach ” which incorporates the seaside landscape. Palmares in a great mixture of stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Monchique mountains, and links style golf in a spectacular setting. The course requires strategic play with the occasional blind shot required, also there are some very well placed pot bunkers and because of the location, wind is often a factor. This is a stunning course that can be enjoyed by players of all abilities.
Morgado is a Par 73 measuring 6399m, it is situated in Portimao, 55 minutes west of Faro Airport. This is one of the longest courses in the region and will certainly be a favourite with the big hitters, although it can still be enjoyed by players of all levels. The course offers stunning views of the Monchique Mountains and is set amongst valleys, rivers, vineyards and woodlands. The front nine features fairly flat fairways, the back nine has more hilly terrain, but they both have strategically placed deep bunkers and large trees. This is a superb golf course and is an excellent choice when travelling to the Algarve.
Álamos is a Par 71 measuring 5641m, it is situated in Portimao, 55 minutes west of Faro Airport. Although shorter than its sister course, Morgado, don’t be fooled, with its tight, tree lined fairways this is a challenging course for all levels of players. Although there are very few bunkers, they are all strategically placed and the large greens demand good putting skills to negotiate the many different levels. This peaceful, rural course enjoys spectacular views over two large water reservoirs, vineyards, an orange grove and the Monchique mountain range.
Boavista is a Par 71 measuring 6.053m, located near Lagos, Western Algarve and 82km from Faro Airport. The course has two distinctive sections, the ‘Resort’ section, which has some unique holes with pretty water features and the ‘Country’ section, whose highlights include the Par 3 6th which requires a tee shot over the ravine, and the 7th, which enjoys panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, extending from Praia da Luz round to the hills at Monchique.
