Quinta da Marinha is a Par 71 measuring 5870m, it is located in Cascais. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior, this course boasts stunning scenery of the Sintra Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. The signature hole is the Par 4 13th, where the fairway slopes down towards the sea, and then once on the green you are rewarded with panoramic views. The course features several bunkers and lakes, pine woods and gently undulating fairways. To add to the difficulty there are five Par 5s and the 10th green is completely surrounded by water. This course provides a tough but enjoyable round of golf.
Oitavos Dunes is a Par 71 championship course measuring 6303m. It is located in the Sintra-Cascais National Park, 20 minutes west of Lisbon. The course is mix of woodland and links. The first four holes feature narrow, tree-lined fairways and tricky small greens. The next twelve holes open up and have a more links feel, they also enjoys the wonderful views of the Atlantic Ocean. The final two holes go back to the woodland style. The signature hole is the Par 3 14th, this superb hole usually plays longer than the distance implies, and a good tee shot is required over a ravine, that then runs downs the whole of the right hand side. This superb course can be enjoyed by golfers of all levels.
The Atlantic is a Par 72 Championship course measuring 6290m, and was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. The first three and the final three holes are in the valley, whilst the rest of the course has been built into the hills, and offers some stunning views of the area. The round starts with four consecutive Par 4s that become more and more difficult, and the round ends with the three hardest holes of the entire course. The signature hole is the stunning Par 5 6th, which features a dogleg and then a lake in the front of the green. This fantastic course has hosted the Portuguese Open, but can still be enjoyed by players of all abilities.
