Maxx Royal Belek Golf & Spa 5*
The Montgomerie is a Par 72 measuring 6486m, designed by Colin Montgomerie. The course cuts through a mature pine forest and with eight lakes there are several water hazards to be avoided. The course comprises of six Par 5s, six Par 4s and six Par 3s and includes some truly spectacular holes.
The front nine is where most of the water hazards are to be found, whereas the back nine features many tee shots over wasteland. With a good variety of tees on every hole this is a challenging course that can be enjoyed by golfers of all abilities.
The Dunes is a Par 69 measuring 5643m, but don’t be fooled, this is still a great test of golf. Although most holes are set in the same surroundings as the Pines with the mature umbrella trees, it is much more open than the Pines. The course is built into the natural landscape and features many natural waste bunker dunes and spectacular views.
The Dunes also has many island greens which makes this any interesting and challenging course for golfers of all abilities. This is a must play course whilst staying at the resort.
The Pines is a Par 72 measuring 6413m, it is the resorts signature course. Located right next to the hotel, this is the more difficult of the two courses and offers a great challenge for the low handicappers. The beautifully manicured fairways meander through the heavily wooded surroundings of mature umbrella pines and there are numerous island greens to tackle, of which the 18th is the most memorable.
With plenty of water hazards and strategically placed bunkers this is a terrific golf course.
