The Faldo is a 27 hole Championship Golf Course, which provides three 18 hole options, the King, Queen and Prince. The course meanders through mature umbrella pines and features many doglegs and tough par 5s. There are numerous elevated tees and greens and enough water hazards to make this a challenging course.
With the tall pines, straight hitting and good distance control is required if you want to score well. The signature hole named ‘Faldo’s Choice’ is a superb risk and reward hole with a very well protected green. With a variety of tees this superb golf course is enjoyable for golfers of all abilities.
The Montgomerie is a Par 72 measuring 6486m, designed by Colin Montgomerie. The course cuts through a mature pine forest and with eight lakes there are several water hazards to be avoided. The course comprises of six Par 5s, six Par 4s and six Par 3s and includes some truly spectacular holes.
The front nine is where most of the water hazards are to be found, whereas the back nine features many tee shots over wasteland. With a good variety of tees on every hole this is a challenging course that can be enjoyed by golfers of all abilities.
Carya is a Par 72 heathland course measuring 6571m. Although very close to the beach, this really does have the feel of a heathland course. The fairways are lined with pine and eucalyptus trees as they run across a sand ridge. The Par 5 6th measuring 574m is appropriately named ‘Long’.
The signature hole is the Par 3 7th named ‘Sirens’ (and like the winged beauties, it is pretty but dangerous), where a tee shot is required over a stream and hollow and where the green entrance is guarded by heather topped bunkers. This is well worth adding to your golf itinerary during your golf break.
The National is a Par 72 course measuring 6279m. Built into the natural terrain, it meanders through pine and eucalyptus trees and with the snow-capped Taurus Mountains as a backdrop and an abundance of natural lakes, this is a stunning course. Designed by Ryder Cup Player David Feherty, he has ensured that no two holes are similar.
The National is also home to a superb 9 hole Academy course, which features tree lined holes and several water hazards that come into play. It can be a great warm up round before you tackle the championship course.
