The Palmeraie is a Par 72 course measuring 6214m. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior this excellent course features large, flat bunkers, undulating greens and an abundance of water hazards.
The signature hole of the front nine is the 9th, where a bad tee shot could end up in water on either side of the fairway. The signature hole of the back nine is the 17th, where two lakes need to be crossed to reach the green. With the snow-capped Atlas Mountains as a backdrop this really is a stunning course.
Al Maaden is a Par 72 course measuring 6644m and it is situated in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. Designed by Kyle Philips, it is built on rather flat terrain, although the back nine features several elevation changes. Strategically placed bunkers and several water hazards will keep you focused, but with plenty of tees per hole this is a course that can be enjoyed by players of all abilities.
The 18th is a great hole, a long Par 4 at 444m, where an accurate drive is required over one of the large lakes.
Amelkis course is formed of three loops, Blue, Red (the original two) & the slightly longer Green (opened in 2009). This amazing US style course was designed by Cabell Robinson and with its wide undulating fairways and well placed water hazards, this is a real test of golf.
The Blue loop has four very tough holes, the 4th – 7 th. The signature hole on the Red loop is the Par 5 6th, which features a double dog-leg and a large lake that protects the green. The Green loop finishes with a hole that has a lake running the whole length of the left and huge bunkering on the right, all leading to an amphitheatre green.
Samanah is a Par 72 desert course measuring 6800m and is set against the breathtaking snow-capped Atlas Mountains. Designed by the Nicklaus Design company it features large bunkering,some big waste areas with cacti and palm trees and top quality greens.
There are several different tees for each hole so every player can enjoy their round here. This has quickly become a firm favourite in the area, and if you have struggled here you can always pay a visit to the onsite David Leadbetter golf academy.
The 18 hole Royal Golf course was built in 1923 and extended to 27 holes in 2008.
The newest nine is the Menara loop, this is the longest and features the best greens. It is more open than the other two and features the only lakes on the course. The Koutoubia loop is much tighter, with numerous palm, eucalyptus and olive trees. The Agdal loop features undulating and tricky greens. Noteworthy are the greens on the 2nd, which has a large mound on one side and the 5th, where there is a hogs back dividing the green in half.
Assoufid is a Par 72 desert course measuring 6440m , it enjoys a stunning backdrop of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains and is just 10 minutes from Marrakech airport. Designed by former European Tour Player Niall Cameron, this course makes use of the beautiful naturally undulating terrain.
The signature hole is the Par 3 17th, which is situated at the highest point of the course, you will be rewarded by spectacular panoramic views. Tee shots have to clear the shaaba (a natural dry stream) that winds throughout the course, onto a wide, but narrow green that is well protected by bunkers front and back.
